When I graduated from H.S. in 1989 I was a new mother and not able to go to college. Recenlty I lost my job from an employer I spent 15 years with. I spent alot of time thinking about what I want to do next in my life, and I decided to go to college. I plan on getting my degree in Veterinary Medicine. I love animals and would enjoy spending every day at work with them.
So off I go.....

I am a new college student and I've been out of high school for 17 years. I've never had a blogspot before, although I have viewed many ran by people I know. I want to use this blog to learn as much as I can about blogging, to meet new people, and show accomplishments in English 101. - I am married to a wonderful person, Mark, and we have one child, Scott, who is in his Senior year in H.S. and just turned 18. We have four dogs and two cats. I just lost my wonderful Mom to liver disease. I really miss her a lot. I have one Sister, we are 14 months apart. She does not have any children. I have a best friend, Jennifer, and she has two girls, Hannah and Chloe, who are my "nieces."

Good luck on this new section of your life! Can I ask what you did for the past 15 years? And what makes you want to go into Veterinary Medicine, other than the obvious love for animals!
Thank you for the comment and encouragement!! I had a job with one employer during the last 15 years. It was in Customer Service for a Health Insurance Carrier. I learned a lot of things that I will carry forward. The love of animals and the thought of being with them on a daily basis, providing and caring for them, is the reason I want to become a Vet. I love animals so much, and know I would make an awesome Vet that families would trust with their loved ones.
Welcome back to school, myself like you had not been in school in over 17 years, but I have been back in school since spring of 2005 while working full-time, helping raise 3 girls and going to school part-time. Its not easy, but it does get easier then in the begining.. You Can Do It!!!!!!!!!
